The items you find linked here are not necessarily the most “perfect” or cleanest options on the market, but through trial and error, these are the ones I currently love and feel comfortable using in my own home.
As always, I encourage everyone to do their own research and choose what feels right for you. This is simply a more convenient way to share these “better” swaps.
At the bottom of the page, I share my favorite anti-cancer juice and smoothies recipes. I hope all of this makes the process of choosing healthier options for you and your family a lot simpler. If you like what you see, share with a friend.

Cleaning:
Many of you have heard me rave about Force of Nature. It is an amazing bleach alternative (99.9% effective at killing germs), and it is totally safe around kids, pets, and food. It is unique in that you make it at home (takes a couple minutes every two weeks). You place a tiny capsule into the electrolyzer filled with water. It mixes itself, and then you’re ready to pour it into spray bottles (we use glass). I know, I know… seems like ANOTHER thing to do; but I swear, it’s SO easy. We have saved tons of money because it’s consolidated multiple different cleaning products into one, and there’s no plastic waste except for the tiny capsule. Nobody’s paying me to say this stuff… scout’s honor. It’s truly just that good! Linking up some other good options as well.

Gift Ideas for Breast Cancer Patients
These were some of the most helpful items for me personally. But please, ask the cancer patient in your life what they need; everyone is so different. Oftentimes, it’s financial assistance that is needed most (which can be difficult to ask for). Gift cards, grocery deliveries, and plain ole’ Venmo/Paypal donations are deeply appreciated by most. You may also consider setting up a Go Fund Me for your loved one.
The financial burden of cancer (treatment & travel) can be crushing and can last for years; they will need your physical and emotional support even after their active treatment is over.
Also, if the patient is interested in cryotherapy during chemo to prevent neuropathy (I would do this again in a heartbeat), you need to consider the length of the infusion. I needed two sets of both the ice gloves & ice socks to last for the duration of the treatment.
If your friend or family member shows interest in learning about how to reduce their toxic load, the books listed in the next section may be appreciated gifts as well.

Cancer Education Books:
*Special Note: While Dr. Funk’s book would be appropriate for any cancer patient, Chris Wark’s views are anti-conventional and he opposes some traditional treatments. He shares a holistic, functional approach to healing. While I found him to be a wonderful resource (even though I chose to combine both traditional medicine & holistic healing), his opinions may not be for everyone. Radical Remission is another book of a similar vein. I love both and found so much of what was shared to be life-changing, but I want to be sensitive to the fact that not everyone agrees with this particular approach.

Anti-Cancer Juice Recipe:
This recipe is an adaptation of Chris Wark’s Anti-Cancer juice. I use a Nama-J2 juicer (one of the best gifts I’ve ever received). It is an expensive piece of equipment, but it is far superior to any other juicer I’ve tried. If you are an avid juicer, you may find it worth the investment (there’s always Christmas!)
This juice is a treat for every single cell in the body and is packed with phytonutrients and antioxidants.
This following makes one small batch (I typically make 3-4 batches at a time):
- 1 bag of organic carrots (2 pounds)
- 1 bag of organic celery (2 pounds)
- 1-2 organic *peeled* lemons (if they are on the smaller side, I use two)
- 1 organic granny smith apple (make sure not to juice the core/seeds)
- 1/4 of a garlic bulb (several cloves)
- 1/4 of a large ginger root (usually about the width of three fingers)
Directions: Wash produce thoroughly. Juice. Pour into a 24 oz mason jar (be sure to leave a little space at the top if you intend to freeze). Add 1/2 tsp turmeric and sprinkle cayenne pepper when finished. Shake and enjoy!

My Daily Smoothie Recipe:
Makes a 32 oz smoothie:
1/4 cup of organic blueberries
1 cup of kale
1/2 cup spinach
1/4 cup parsley (leaves and stems)
handful of shredded carrots
1/4 cup broccoli sprouts OR 2/3 cup broccoli florets
ADD WATER– then add the following supplement powders (I’m not going to include measurements for every item as they can vary depending on the brand; but please check your packaging to determine how much you should include; all of these are linked in the Supplements section)
organic turmeric powder
sprinkling of organic cayenne pepper (to help with turmeric absorption)
organic flax meal for additional protein (I typically do at least 2 tablespoons)
organic hemp hearts for additional protein (usually 2-3 tablespoons)
organic camu camu (LOVE this stuff)
verrrrry small about of spiralina
organic amla powder
1 tbsp organic olive oil
Ultima Electrolyte Powder (I like watermelon)
Blend that baby up and drink up, sugar plum! And seriously, don’t be intimidated by any of this. If the girl who lived off of cheese, chicken nuggets, and fruit snacks can make these life adjustments (and love them)… so can YOU!
